I’ve heard it said that a philosopher is a sort of an intellectual yokel, gawking at things that sensible people take for granted. Sensible people often are not concerned with thinking about existence, not concerned with the nature of consciousness or the nature of God. They are on about their pursuits as if the vastness and machinations of the cosmos are a background to their personal passion play.

While it is extremely plausible that us humans are a mutant germ living on an unimportant rock that revolves around an insignificant star on the outer edges of one of the smaller galaxies in a vast multiverse: I am amazed to ponder our existence and amazed more of my brethren  have no sense of this wonder. The more I look at things, the more grateful I am.
