I can’t sleep tonight

I hate when I’m like this

Wandering around like a zombie

Munching on trail mix

It’s cold in the mountains

I thought the heat rises

The springtime weather

Is full of surprises

Up and down the stairs

I check my phone

Are you awake?

Words with friends before bedtime

Lets Re read the text I sent today

From an ex-wife in a past life

To a new lover now and here

In the course of today

I’ve relived the past half year

So then what does it matter?

The things that I write

I hate when I’m like this

I can’t sleep tonight

A world of difference

Living on and with purpose

Sunday Haiku

My favorite mornings

drifting in and out of sleep

connected to you

Tree of Wishes

Hope embraced

Cast a light

Upon the backdrop of a moonless night

 In her bed

When she’s not there

The smell of sage in  the cool mountain air

Alone, together

A brief eclipse

Like Planets in orbit or passing ships

If only, she would only….

I like to tell myself

Let her icons come alive, jump off the shelf

To guide her, to show her, removing the doubt

A tree of wishes, inside and out

IRS Official in Charge During Tea Party Targeting Now Runs Health Care Office

“Sarah Hall Ingram served as commissioner of the office responsible for tax-exempt organizations between 2009 and 2012. But Ingram has since left that part of the IRS and is now the director of the IRS’ Affordable Care Act office, the IRS confirmed to ABC News today.”

So the very apparatchik used to torment, intimidate and punish the political opponents of the statist agenda now runs the enforcement arm of obamacare. The very obamacare that imposes its will upon the citizen, regardless of need or want. The same obamacare that threatens the individual with fines and jail time if one exercises their constitutional right to be left alone.

Good Grief.

Yell Fire

Tyranny is contagious.

And the current administration is pathological.

The Obama administration has been exposed as tapping the phones of associated press reporters.

“The Justice Department secretly obtained two months of telephone records of reporters and editors for The Associated Press in what the news cooperative’s top executive called a “massive and unprecedented intrusion” into how news organizations gather the news”.

This blatant violation of our first amendment is both mirror and representation of the corrupt mindset of the current administration. The relentless violence to our constitution continues. The czars, executive fiat, cronyism and fraud in green energy, Fast and furious gun running,, Benghazi cover up ,etc, etc, etc.  This administration gets bolder and bolder.

Now its exposed The IRS has been used to harass, intimidate and bully the political opponents of this current administration.

This is the same IRS that the administration had delegated as its enforcement arm for government controlled health care. It is no co-incidence.  Anyone of us who have had the displeasure of dealing with the IRS knows that it pre supposes their agency is exempt from the rule of law and you are guilty until proven innocent vis-à-vis their accusations.

I have used much bandwidth lamenting these and other assaults. The overwhelming evidence of corruption, malfeasance and the blatant disregard for the rule of law is a fire bell, ringing in the night.

Be alert, be awake.

The only zen one finds on the top of mountains is the zen one brings along with them

Human Nature is like water, it takes the shape of its container

with true friends, even water drunk together is sweet enough

a jug fills drop by drop

A mountain is composed of tiny grains of earth. The ocean is made up of tiny  drops of water. Even so, life is but an endless series of little details,  actions, speeches, and thoughts. And the consequences whether good or bad of  even the least of them are far-reaching

Use adversity

In the dust of shattered dreams

we can find ourselves

The Utopian fanatics are again wrong.

“Gun-related homicides and crime are “strikingly” down from 20 years ago, despite the American public’s belief that firearm crime is on the upswing, a new study said Wednesday.

Looking back 50 years, a Pew Research Center study found U.S. gun homicides rose in the 1960s, gained in the 1970s, peaked in the 1980s and the early 1990s, and then plunged and leveled out the past 20 years.

“Despite national attention to the issue of firearm violence, most Americans are unaware that gun crime is lower today than it was two decades ago,” the researchers say.

A Pew survey of Americans in March found 56% believed gun-related crime is higher than 20 years ago and only 12% said its lower. The survey said 26% believed it stayed the same and 6% didn’t know.”

“The new study found U.S. firearm homicides peaked in 1993 at 7.0 deaths per 100,000 people. But by 2010, the rate was 49% lower, and firearm-related violence — assaults, robberies, sex crimes — was 75% lower in 2011 than in 1993, the study found.

Those drops parallel an overall decline in violent non-fatal crime, with or without a gun, the study said.

In fact, gun-related homicide rates in the late 2000s were “equal to those not seen since the early 1960s,” the study found.”

The notion of gun control is based on a complete myth. Yet the assault on our 2nd amendment protections continues apace. We have a significant increase in population, a significant increase in firearms, yet gun crime is drastically less now than in the last 20 years. Will any amount of evidence dissuade the dogmatic fidelity to the gun violence myth?

I doubt it. The scapegoat of gun violence is a ruse. Used to emotionally play on the sympathies of decent people, and to manipulate those same decent people in an attempt to control their behavior.

The constitution is our rule of law. The bill of rights are protections we; the people, have FROM an oppressive tyranny. Be it a God,  a Government ,  a criminal or a combination of all three. Let us not surrender to a myth.

Storms from the gulf

Changed his plans

Storms in the life

of one simple man

Then so it came to pass

When the crap hit the fan

 Out the door he went

With his hat in his hand

He drove thousands of miles

Maybe regretted the first few

Then the pain gave way to excitement

With the chance to start the world new

In a small mountain town

He knows the challenge and the cost

He has chosen to live on purpose

“Not all those who wander are lost”
